The construction of the new multi user depot at Ballarat incorporated a new headquarters building and separate Q-store. Headquarters included orderly room, offices, treatment room, lecture room, shower/toilet facilities, kitchen, bars and messes. Q Store includes new armoury, store, offices and amenities. The consolidation of remote training shelters allowed for one large undercover extension to the Q Store.
The project at Bendigo involved the construction of a MUD (Multi User Depot) complete with an office area including forty two work stations which were designed to minimise internal noise whilst maximising functional available floor area to provide a comfortable office work area.
A design process with careful consideration to the evolving requirements of the Doveton Defence Personnel resulted in a functional and modern workplace being constructed for the defence community.
