The Joss Group undertook this project as Principal / Client / Owner and Builder. The new facility was designed to accommodate two divisions of the Joss Group; Construction and Facility Management. The 1996m2 of net floor area can accommodate staffing levels up to 75 people with design options for further expansion.Â
The building has two entries on ground level with the balance of the footprint being undercover parking for staff, the office area is all on the first floor which is a concrete suspended slab, the construction is primarily structural steel (over 120 tonne) with a metal roof and glazed atrium. The facade is clad with composite aluminium cladding and extensive aluminium framing and glazing.
At the 2008 MBA NSW Excellence in Construction Awards, the Joss Office was the successful winner in the category Commercial Buildings up to $5,000,000.00
